We express our great displeasure on the unavailability of electricity supply on campus due to a major fault from the IBEDC distribution station. As a responsible administration, we have been on our toes to ensure all hands are on deck in order to restore electricity as soon as practicable.
In order to alleviate the adverse effects of this ugly situation as we prepare for examinations, the University generating sets are currently in full operations to supply light to some strategic locations. One is being used to power some lecture theatres (ELT, LT 1-4, AGLT, SLT and ELH axis) to allow students read while the other is being used to pump water to avoid scarcity of water supply tomorrow. We therefore urge our colleagues to explore the available LTs pending the rectification of electricity on campus.
