TRANSPORTATION FARES STAY UNAFFECTED DESPITE FUEL SCARCITY

Excellent Unilorites,

In light of the current fuel scarcity nationwide, we've received reports and complaints from students about the sudden rise in transportation costs. Korope drivers have hiked fares from ₦250 to ₦300, while keke fares have surged to ₦150 at the College of Health Sciences.

As the Students' Union, we want to clarify that there has been no meeting or consultation with the Students' Union regarding these fare increases. Therefore, the agreed-upon fare for a korope drop remains ₦250, and ₦100 for a keke drop.

We strongly advise all students not to exceed these agreed prices when dealing with korope drivers.

However, consultations will be made, with the assurance that they will serve the best interests of you, Excellent Unilorites.
