KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE STUDENTS' UNION MEETING WITH UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

Yesterday, Monday, July 29th, 2024, a meeting was held between the University Management, comprising the University Vice Chancellor, principal officers, Dean and Sub-Deans of the Student Affairs Unit, and members of the Students' Union Central Executive and Senate Council, League of Faculty Presidents, and the newly elected members of the Students' Union Central Executive and Senate Council for the 2023/2024 academic session. The following are the highlights:
1. Private Hostel Fees: The University Management has directed all students/residents of private hostels on campus not to pay the hostel charges presented by the hostel management until further notice.
2. Electricity and Water Supply: The University Management received positive feedback on the improved state of electricity and water supply on campus and remains committed to the welfare of the students.
3. Federal Government Student Loan: The University Management encouraged students to apply for the Federal Government's student loan program, designed to support their academic pursuits.
