UPDATE ON SUSPENSION OF SERVICES BY KOROPE (SHUTTLE BUSES)
The Students’ Union is aware that Korope Shuttle Buses have temporarily suspended services on the University route due to their unauthorized fare hike, which has impacted the University transit system.
As a responsive Union, we’ve arranged Marco-polo Buses for ₦200 and other buses as alternative transportation to convey our colleagues (to and fro) campus, while we’ve also requested for Buses from the appropriate quarters to support the transit system.
Consequently, we’ll like to inform our colleagues undergoing SWEP, FPT, SIWES and TP programmes, residing on campus that we’ve communicated with the coordinators of these programmes about potential lateness and absences, if need be.
For the umpteenth, we’ll like to inform you that Korope fare remains unchanged at ₦300. We advise our colleagues not to pay more than the agreed fare. Further updates will be shared promptly.
We appreciate your patience, support and cooperation as we strive to provide fair and accessible transportation for all.
