NOTICE ON STUDENT ID CARD AND LOTUS BANK ACCOUNT
Smart Unilorites,
We are aware of the recent development from Lotus Bank regarding the creation of a wallet account for all Unilorites. We acknowledged this report, communicated with the relevant authorities, and are pleased to announce our resolution.
Upon the receipt of this development, we learnt that bank account will now be linked to Student Smart ID Card, of which the card will be serving a multifunctional purpose which includes; payment card, ID Card and smart card.
In the response of the Lotus Bank representative, it’s to be noted that the account opened for all students who received this notification is a wallet account, not a bank account. This wallet account is necessary to make the Student ID Card functional.
However, for students who are interested in banking with Lotus Bank, you are encouraged to visit the bank to upgrade your wallet account to an operational bank account.
This development hints the University’s utmost commitment to producing Student ID Cards for all Smart Unilorites.
We are working diligently to ensure that all students receive their ID cards, which will not only serve as a means of identification but also provide a convenient and secure way to make payments and access various services on campus.
