RECRUITMENT OF STUDENT DRIVERS UNDER THE UNIVERSITY'S WORK–AND–STUDY SCHEME

We write to inform the general student community that the process of recruiting student drivers under the University’s Work–and–Study Scheme commence tonight.

This new initiative aligns with the University’s plan to further engage students in managing essential campus services. In a similar approach to the shuttle system previously operated, participating students will be allowed to work for a maximum of 40 hours per month, ensuring a balance between academic responsibilities and work commitments.

ANNOUNCING THE FRESHERS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

We are delighted to announce the Freshers’ Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 Academic Session, powered by the Student Affairs Unit of the University.

The orientation is scheduled to hold on Monday, 17th November, and Tuesday, 18th November, 2025, at the University Auditorium , starting by 9:00 AM daily .

The Freshers’ Orientation Programme is designed to welcome and guide the new entrants into the University community, acquainting them with the institution’s academic structure, rules, and the Students’ Union’s role in ensuring their interests and voices are well represented throughout their stay on campus.

Below is the schedule for all faculties;

Day 1 (Monday, 17th November, 2025) will feature fresh students from the Faculties of Law, Agriculture, Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Engineering & Technology.

Day 2 (Tuesday, 18th November, 2025) will host students from the Faculties of Arts, Education, Life Sciences, Communication & Information Sciences, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

We write to inform all Unilorites that the final hostel balloting exercise will hold tomorrow, Thursday, 30th October, 2025 to accommodate interested Unilorites into the remaining bedspaces. This exercise marks the concluding phase of hostel allocation for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The schedule for the balloting is as follows:

• 100 Level / Direct Entry: 10:00 a.m.
• 200 Level: 11:00 a.m.
• 300 Level: 12:00 noon
• 400 Level: 1:00 p.m.
• 500 / 600 Level: 2:00 p.m.

We are pleased to announce that following consistent engagements and appeals to the University management, a final extension has been graciously approved for registration. The new and final deadline is for the closure of normal registration is Sunday, November 2nd, 2025.

In addition, the Add and Drop exercise will also commence online on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 likewise, late registration payments. This will enable students to make necessary course adjustments and finalize their registration conveniently.

We commend the University management for yielding to our plea and we appreciate the patience of students throughout the process. As a responsive Union, we will continue to advocate for the welfare and convenience of all Unilorites.

Use capital letters for all alphabets.

Ensure you do not use the letter “O” instead of the number “0” (zero).
