A SMART BEGINNING TO GREAT DISPENSATION
Smart Unilorites,
We begin by expressing our deepest gratitude to the sovereign God for granting us the historic privilege of being inaugurated as the 37th Students’ Union Executives of our esteemed 'better by far' University.
Yesterday marked the beginning of a new chapter for our esteemed Union as the SMART-PURPOSED ADMINISTRATION was inaugurated. We are humbled by the responsibilities you have entrusted to us and invigorated by the opportunity to serve and lead with dedication and purpose.
At this moment, we want to assure you that we will work tirelessly to create an environment that is peaceful, restful, and impactful. This will be achieved by collaborating closely with the University Management to address issues such as accommodation, transportation, academic support, and comprehensive students’ assistance.
At the heart of our mission is the commitment to fostering a student-centric community where your welfare remains our top priority. We are here to ensure that your needs are met and your voices are heard. By working diligently and with integrity, we aim to build a Union that you can be proud of and rely upon.
As we embark on this journey together, we ask for your continued support and collaboration. Let us unite in our efforts to create a brighter, smarter, and more inclusive future where every Unilorite can flourish and achieve their full potential.
Thank you for your trust and confidence in our leadership. We are here to serve you and look forward to making meaningful progress together.

THE LETTER FROM THE VICE CHANCELLOR TO THE STUDENT COMMUNITY
My beloved students,
Let me start by congratulating you all on the successful conduct of your general elections culminating in the emergence of a new leadership. You have by this, demonstrated that even our country needs so much to learn from you my wonderful students because you ensured that the election was not only free, fair and credible but rancour free. I wish the new leadership a very successful tenure while I congratulate the out-going executive for a very wonderful tenure.
In advance, I wish you all success in the coming examinations. I have no doubt that you have managed to prepare in spite of the excruciating challenges that we currently witness in our University especially the forced position by the IBEDC which has affected electricity and water supply. I must specially appreciate and commend your resilience, perseverance, show of understanding and uncommon commitment to our University. I appreciate your responsible studentship and hope that we will overcome this ugly situation in shortest possible time.
The University is working assiduously to ensure that the challenges are fixed and never again shall we go through this odious path in our University. Once beaten, twice shy. We remain committed to a campus that is very conducive to teaching and learning because we know our students are being prepared for global competition and recognition. Thus, we have irreducible minimum standard of academic excellence.
Please continue to be patient with us as we try to find permanent solution to this challenge.
Wishing you the very best of luck in your examinations.
Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN
Vice-Chancellor.

A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THE POWER OUTAGE ON CAMPUS
Excellent Unilorites,
We are deeply saddened, heartbroken, and concerned about the recent power outages on campus. The Students' Union Leadership convened an emergency meeting with the University Management and Student Affairs Unit to address and thoroughly discuss the issues surrounding the power outage affecting our community. Regrettably, the fault has been traced back to IBEDC, and we are working tirelessly to ensure that power supply is restored as soon as possible.
In the interim, the University Management is working to provide electricity on campus through generators, which will also support the pumping of water to hostels. Additionally, strict monitoring will be conducted on private hostels to ensure that generators are used to provide comfort for our students.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging time. Thank you for your usual cooperation.
