INTRODUCING THE STUDENTS’ UNION LITIGATION BUREAU FOR THE 2022/23 ACADEMIC SESSION

Members of the Union are herein notified as to the creation of the Students’
Union Litigation Bureau for the 2022/23 academic session in fulfillment of section 19 of the Students’ Union Constitution (as amended 2022).

The Litigation Bureau of the Students’ Union is a body of student legal practitioners under the office of the Attorney-General of the Students’ Union. For ease of access to justice in the public sphere of the Union, members of the Union can approach any member of the bureau in respect of matters concerning allegations of crime triable before the Students’ Union Court and other legal matters which affect the whole of the Union.

Sequel to the creation of the bureau above and pursuant to Sections 2 and 3 of the Law Officers Act 2023, the following persons have been appointed as law officers of the Union and members of the Litigation Bureau for the 2022/23 session;

We're writing to remind you that the deadline for registering student organizations, associations, clubs, and societies for the 2022/2023 academic session is Monday, January 15, 2024. We urge all existing and prospective associations/organizations to take advantage of this period for the registration exercise.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES/PROCEDURE:

1. Obtain a Letter of Introduction/Renewal/Registration from the Staff Adviser, duly signed by the staff adviser.

2. Submit the Letter of Introduction/Renewal to the General Office of the Student Affairs Unit (SAU).

3. Make a payment of N5,000.00 to the Student Affairs Unit account at Unilorin Micro-finance Bank Limited, Account No. 1100014385.

4. Submit evidence of payment to the Student Affairs Office.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED WITH THE COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM:

- Constitution of the Association.

- Programmes of the Association for the year under review.

- Letter of Introduction from the Staff Adviser.

- Details (name, matric number, level, and department) and passport photographs of the Officers/Executives.

COMMENCEMENT OF 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION CLINIC REGISTRATION FOR NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS

Clinic registration for both new and returning students will commence on Monday, 15th January 2024. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity.

Returning students who have not yet registered are advised to complete their registration during the ongoing exercise.

Students in 300 Level and 400 Level of 5 or 6 years course duration are required to pay N2,000 for late Clinic registration.

• Registration period: 3 Months.
• Operating hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Submission of Duly Completed Forms: Thursday, 11th January, 2024, between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

Interview: Friday, 12th January, 2024 by 8:00am.
