IMPORTANT NOTICE ON PRIVATE HOSTELS
As a responsive union that seeks to address the pertinent issues that concerns the welfare and living standards of hostelites within the University community, we have created a channel where all students from each private hostel can join and give live reports to the Students' Union official for immediate action.
As we are all aware that the Union is a collective institution and our goals must be achieved with joint efforts, we would need two students each from every private hostel to volunteer to join the group so they can serve as correspondents to relay yearnings and situations within their respective hostels.
Individuals who are interested in joining the group should message this number:

POWER OUTAGE AT MAIN CAMPUS AND COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES
The power outage experienced on campus for the past 24 hours is not without notice.
As earlier reported yesterday, there is no fault whatsoever within the University distribution lines but rather from the main supply of IBEDC.
Upon further inquiries today coupled with a visit to the Department of Works, it has been confirmed that work is currently ongoing to rectify the situation. Although there is no specific time frame as to when power will be restored, please be rest assured that power will be restored as soon as it is practically possible.
With regards to power supply at New College, provisions are being made to purchase new stock of diesel in order to power the main generating sets. Hostelites residing in the school hostels at New College should also be informed that provision for a temporary set to pump water is being made to provide water in the meantime while repairs of the original hostel generator is already ongoing.
We apologize for these inconveniences as we duly understand the importance of power and water supply at this crucial time of the semester. Please be rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and will see to its resolution. Thank you.
