UPDATE ON LATE COURSE REGISTRATION FOR BOTH FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS

Due to conscious and unrelenting efforts of Union executives, the school management has opened the late registration portal for fresh students for a period of 48 hours.

Also, the late registration charges has been dropped to N5000 from the initial N7500 for both fresh and returning students.

Registration for both fresh and returning students is expected to finally close on Wednesday 8th September, 2021.

All students are charged to make quick use of this opportunity to pay their University charges as there will no longer be further extension.

FUNCTIONS OF THE UISAPC COMMISSION

In fact, adulteration and corruption has been the evil prevailing the society which is not only affecting the economy but deteriorating the societal moral values.

In other to combat corrupt practices in the institution, the UISAPC commission has the power to accept report, summon and investigate petitions where reasonable grounds exist for suspecting that any person has conspired to commit or committed an offence as provided for under section 8, UISAPC Act of the Students' Union Constitution:

A. Fraudulent acquisition of property by any person or any officeholders;
B. Making false or misleading statements (by any person) to the commission;
C. Forgery of signature for grant;
D. Bribery of officeholders (or by office holders) to prevent granting of contract or make advantage in favor of any person;
E. Belonging to any unregistered association in school;
F. Engaging in criminal conspiracy;
G. Using office or position for gratification(fruition);
H. Deliberate frustration of investigation.


Perceive any of the aforementioned above, do not feel disinclined to report to the commission.

CALL FOR SUBMISSION AND RECOMMENDATION OF BILLS

Esteemed Unilorites,

Pursuant to Article 13(1) and (13) of the Student Union Constitution and in accordance with RULE 17 of the Standing Orders of the Senate Council, we hereby call for the submission of bills and recommendations from members of the union for the ongoing Constitutional Review and Amendment which began on Saturday, 8th August, 2021.

Members of the union are expected to send bills and recommendations to aid the general review and amendments of the Students’ Union Constitution. These bills and recommendations shall be looked into and would be included in the Compendium of Student Union Constitution if it meets the requirements of the law.

On behalf of the Management, players and officials of Unilorin Warriors, we appreciate all Unilorites for turning out en masse to support the team against KSU Steelers last Wednesday in the ongoing Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) 2021.

The match which ended one nil (1-0) in favour of Unilorin Warriors was the return leg of the Round of 16 encounter.

It was brought to our notice that some students were unable to select GSE 301 skill on their portal due to some technical glitches. As a responsive Union, we swung into action by meeting with the appropriate quarters in order to get it solved. And we are delighted to inform you that all technical issues have been solved and students have been selecting their skills seamlessly.

Additionally, students that have not been cleared on the portal are charged to remain calm as there is no cause for alarm. This is because a total of 120 skills of GSE 301 has been uploaded on the school portal by the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC) which is enough to accommodate all students offering GSE 301.

Finally, be informed that any information that is not found on the Union's website or Social Media handles and not signed by the President and Public Relations Officer of the Union should not be regarded as a verifiable and reliable information.

According to medical experts, the third wave of the Corona Virus pandemic which is known as COVID-19 Delta variant is deadlier than the earlier ones that had been experienced. Sequel to this, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) issued a nationwide warning on the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
